Weather

Royal Meteorological Society

Aimed mainly at children aged 7-13, includes a glossary of 100 weather words and Met Link - an international weather observation project. There are also weather based GCSE project ideas for the 14-16 age range and a guide to where to find weather observations on the web.

The Met Office

This site has a large number of free-to-download leaflets and posters about the weather (primary and secondary), as well as lesson plans for Key Stage 3 & 4 and an on-line weather quiz.

The BBC

Some fairly basic fact sheets, probably aimed at secondary level.

Encyclopedia of the Atmospheric Environment

Lots of information, presented at 2 different levels

Introduction to climate prediction and the climate Interactive online activities developed by Oxford University.

Royal Meteorological Society

This web page has a comprehensive list of links to climate change information at a fairly high level - IPCC reports, etc.

The BBC

A fairly jazzy site with a discussion board, probably aimed at secondary level.

Cool Kids for a Cool Climate

Written by a secondary pupil for people of a similar age.
