Launchball more levels

Postby crandles » Mon Dec 03, 2007 3:10 pm

Science museum have created a physics game called launchball.

http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/launchpad/launchball

Be warned it is rather addictive.

Best extra self created launchball levels

Anyway if you get around to creating levels I suggest you

1. Send it to yourself.
2. Optionally enter the competion by sending to 'launchpadadmin@sciencemuseum.org.uk' before 10 Dec deadline.
3. Post the codes that you sent to yourself here. Then lots of people can try your level

Here are the ones I have created - designed to be difficult but I have probably missed some much simpler ways of doing them:

http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/launchp ... ll/?level={FCBC17DD-0873-405D-95CE-6023CA949689}

http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/launchp ... all?level={652446E4-22DA-4925-9040-5DD19D189186}

http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/launchp ... all?level={955554D1-A571-44EB-9F81-95B9FF538E70}

http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/launchp ... all?level={061F9070-F529-4939-A71C-4A409ED3B59A}

(Edit spelling)

To complete the second one, SpringLoaded2, the pieces I use are one slope, two curves and a spring. (I left a lot of pieces around from before some bugs in the level creation were fixed.) Sorry about that. Or just ignore that one and play this fixed version:

http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/launchp ... all?level={6E79C527-D090-4B75-9AC7-40BC5172DD5F}

Hints:
Spoiler warning: Text is tiny. Enlarge to see text don't if you don't want to see the hints.
The solution to first is in 4th and solution to 4th is in first. For the third one called High Roller? The answer is no. You want a less cryptic hint? Then no it isn't high nor is it a roll - more of a throw.End spoiler

Springloaded3 - 1 Spring & 1 Curve (55sec)

The first code they gave me doesn't work so had to re-register using another email address to get a valid code!

Knew I would miss something obvious. Well done, much easier like that.

Here is a (re) fixed version to try to prevent the simple approach but there are probably other simple ways.

Here is another launchball level - someone elses which isn't very difficult:

Ombry, I don't see any way to do that one. There seems no way to reflect the light and no water to drive water turbine. Without electricy the gate cannot be opened. Am I missing something?

If you click on the triangle above the object box it will give more items to use. I can get the gate to open, now just to get the ball through the maze of mirrors.

The mirrors and ice and whatnot are in the second row of the component stacks

-- Edit:

SNAP, LogPile got there first :-)

Finally did perfect timing.

Hint in tiny writingI used 10 blocks and didn't use the spring.

Curious, I got an email re a submitted level. I didn't think any of my levels were likely to be considered good enough to win.
