What was the error code Boinc crashed with?
The current version of Boinc (5.8.x) is very fussy about the internet connection, compared to prior versions. There have been several reports of crashes where internet connection has been lost. See Trac/133.
I'm tempted to recommend that people downgrade to 5.6 or so.

The COM+ errors are related to Boinc Manager sitting there and losing its grip on reality.
Ignore them for now though. That is fixed in the next BOINC version.

What was the error code Boinc crashed with?
Unforunately I didn't note that and when I restored I just overwrote the entire BOINC directory from the backup. As this is a model I've previously recovered from a backup the stderr shown with the result
http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=6223973won't help as I guess it doesn't accept a re-upload for a crashed model.

I'm running with 5.4.9
On a brighter note if it gets past the crash (due Monday night/Tuesday morning) it'll only be 38 years to go on this one.
